Men's Basketball Coach Shaun Little Horn

Before the 2024 season commenced, Shaun Little Horn took the helm as the head coach of the men’s basketball team at Oglala Lakota College. His illustrious coaching career is marked by guiding his former teams to a combined total of seven state championships and seven national high school championships across various leagues, including the NACA, NPSAA, NCSAA, and MAACS.

Throughout his tenure in high school basketball, Little Horn played a pivotal role in the advancement of over 50 athletes who proceeded to play at the collegiate level. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in the development of 19 players who have gone on to pursue professional basketball careers, both in the United States and abroad. His coaching success has been recognized with three national high school coach of the year awards, a testament to his success. Renowned for his offensive strategies, Little Horn’s teams have consistently averaged upwards of 90 points per game in all but one season

Despite his past achievements, he regards his appointment at Oglala Lakota College as the pinnacle of his basketball coaching journey. This role offers him a profound opportunity to contribute to the community and aims to lead the men’s team to its first national championship in over four decades, a milestone that he views as the ultimate accolade of his career.
